Officials from the San Diego Zoo ask for more parking

The leaders of the San Diego Zoological Society have written a letter to the mayor in order to ask that they not remake the center of the park and instead leave it for pedestrian use.

Officials have said that the real issue with the park is that there is not enough parking. The Zoo president and CEO added that the limited number of parking spots has put a cap on the number of people that attend the zoo daily and this issue “threatens the financial health and wellbeing of all park institutions.” Officials have proposed a plan that would have a parking garage built. The issue that is being seen is that it will cost $39 million.

The San Diego Zoo is an icon of the city, if you would like to visit this or any other attraction in the city. Book your spot at South mission beach condominiums today.
