San Diego tries to boost cruise ship business in area

San Diego is in the process of trying to resurrect their cruise ship business after many liners have began to lessen their presence in Mexico. San Diego is now searching for some type of replacements.

Officials with the San Diego Port have said that they have enjoyed their partnership with the ports in Mexico, but with the recent crime, people are not willing to pay the money to go and if they do, many stay on the boat.

Three cruise lines, including one that begins in San Diego, have canceled their stops to Mexico and soon nearly 14 million cruise lines will meet with officials at the port in Mexico to discuss the situation. San Diego wants their cruise line business to be built up to where it was.
