San Diego Sicilian Festival features San Diego Opera chorus members

San Diego Opera Chorus members sang opera arias and art songs as part of their performance for the 21st Annual San Diego Sicilian Festival, which took place last Sunday, May 18. Included among the performers were jazz recording artist NovaMenco, the Point Loma Opera Theatre, and the San Diego State University Opera Theatre.

Additional performers were the chorus members from the University of San Diego. Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego State University, and the University of San Diego are all members of the Opera’s University Partnership.

Students from these schools are afforded the chance to attend classes conducted by San Diego Opera artists, sit in on their rehearsals, and audition for a production at the Civic Theatre stage.
