Obama’s agenda includes down time in San Diego

United States President Barrack Obama visited San Diego, California on October 10 and 11 to indulge in a few of the relaxing activities that most visitors enjoy in the area: playing golf and engaging in some quality rest and relaxation.

Obama held no public events during his time in San Diego. It was obviously a relaxed visit, as the President showed up in shorts with a couple of other players at Torrey Pines to practice his golf moves.

The White House did not reveal publicly where the president stayed, but it is rumored that he took up a room at the Ranch Santa Fe, arriving on Saturday night after Air Force One landed at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar earlier that day.

At South Mission Beach, you can enjoy the same luxuries as President Obama. Our townhouses and condominiums provide comfortable rooms that are conveniently located, so that you can get the most out of your vacation. Fill out a contact sheet above to book your stay today!

San Diego Zoo welcomes kids free for the month of October

The San Diego Zoo has announced that kids age 11 and under will get free admission into the park for the entire month of October. Located just a short 15 minutes from south Mission Beach, the park is offering all sorts of exciting and interactive activities throughout the entire month of October.

Dr. Zoolittle’s “How to Train Your Children” will take place on the Koalafornia Boardwalk on weekend days at 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. This event will explore the ways in which positive reinforcement can be used to teach animals and humans to complete certain tasks.

Costume Characters will feature some of the Zoo’s most famous furry friends, including Bamboo Panda, Churchill the Polar Bear, and Monty Meerkat, appearing on the Koalafornia Boardwalk for photo opportunities every weekend.

You can get a front row seat at the Wegeforth Bowl to enjoy the Open House Animal Training Session every day at 1:00 p.m. to watch our trainers work with some of our animals in order to prepare for new shows and learn new tricks.

Children can take the opportunity to show the animals how much they care by participating in Make It for the Animals, an event held on weekend days between 10:00 and 2:00 on the Koalafornia Boardwalk. Kids can make their own gifts for the animals to be used during training exercise.
