The largest wine mixer and food event in Southern California will be taking place this weekend. The San Diego Bay Wine and Food Festival is now celebrating their 8th year and this year is said to be bigger than ever.

During last year’s event, there were 10,000 people that attended the festival and nearly 800 wines were featured and 70 food samplings were available.

Visit Coronado Island

Cartoon Network announces events for Comic-Con

The start of Comic-Con in San Diego is quickly approaching and the Cartoon Network recently announced its panel line-up for the four day event.

Comic-Con will be presenting panels for many of its popular shows to answer viewers’ questions and talk about the ideas behind the shows. On Friday, a panel will be held for The Clone Wars. The panel will be talking about what will be happening on the show’s upcoming fourth season. On Saturday, a panel will be hosted for Adventure Time. “Happy Days” star to attend San Diego parade

Cardiff, a beach town near San Diego, will be celebrating its 100th anniversary with a spectacular parade that will feature Marion Ross, who gained fame by playing Mrs. Cunningham on “Happy Days.” Ross is a San Diego native who got her start at the city’s Old Globe.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 2 and will go from Newcastle to Glen Park. Activities will also be featured from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., including game booths for children, art exhibits provided by the San Dieguito History Museum, and booths of vendors selling arts and crafts.

The festivities will also include live music by some favorite San Diego artists, including Bucket Ruckus, Night Doctors, and Wigbillies.
